Word 3.0 to create a table - decide where you want to place the table and insert a blank line there by hitting the Return key.  Select the blank line and choose paragraphs from the Format menu.  The Paragraph dialog box will appear with a ruler.  In the dialog, choose border with box and single and adjust the size of the table using the left and right margin markers on the ruler.  Place the vertical line markers (found in the ruler) precisely where you want vertical bars to appear in the table; then place tab markers after the vertical line markers.  (Do not place the tab markers on top of the vertical line markers.)  Click "ok" and the beginning of your table will appear.  Enter your data using the tab key to place information in the correct column.  If you need a double spaced line for an entry, use a soft return
